Programs Offered
Hybrid Fitness Classes
These classes are for people looking for general strength and conditioning for a variety of sports, weight loss, and overall health. Classes are coached and are designed to give a broad version of functional fitness. These classes are intense and fast paced, and it is recommended that you first start with the beginner’s classes.
Beginner’s Classes
These classes use the same concepts as our hybrid class, with more emphasis put on slower paced technique development and foundational strength building for beginners. The metabolic conditioning efforts will be simpler, yet effective for those looking to improve their skills, learn the movements better, or get ready for the more intense “Hybrid Fitness” classes.
Olympic Weightlifting
Olympic Weightlifting consists of the Snatch and the Clean and Jerk. Both are highly technical lifts that can be used to develop strength, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance, and flexibility for sports like football, baseball, downhill skiing, or golf. RMSC also hosts spring and fall Olympic Weightlifting meets that draw athletes from across the state to compete.
Backcountry Sports Conditioning
Coaches at RMSC have spent time working with top strength coaches in order to develop sport specific programs for athletes who regularly spend long, rigorous hours in the backcountry. This could include skiers, climbers, or hunters. These athletes have particular needs that separate them from traditional athletes, and our backcountry sports conditioning program can be designed specifically for each individual athlete.
